TedRedTed has been lucky enough to be a part of some groundbreaking companies creating some truly revolutionary products.  He is currently part of the development team at RED Digital Cinema, that is taking the Digital motion picture camera to the next level of resolution, functionality and design.  4K and 2K acquisition, all in a revolutionary form factor, the RED ONE Camera is all about innovation, from the concept, to the radical design, to the remarkable engineering, to the breakthrough price point... everything about the RED ONE and RED Digital Cinema is about breaking the rules.  The RED ONE camera is simply a new breed of tool for Cinematography.  4k resolution, Raw workflow, PL mount for use with Cinema Grade Lenses, the REDCODE Codec, and the 12 MegaPixel Mysterium sensor which RED has created specifically for the RED ONE all contribute to the remarkable advancements of this next generation 4k Digital Cinematography system.

Before Ted joined RED as "Leader of the Rebellion & Employee #1"  he was with AJA Video Systems. Ted was part of the team that created the first High Definition and Standard Definition Video capture cards for Apple's OS X, and the revolutionary IO box, a co-developed product from AJA and Apple that handles 10bit uncompressed video and audio over firewire, as an elegant and simple solution designed to work with Final Cut Pro and other professional video applications for the Macintosh platform.  The Kona and Io products are found all over the world working on the highest levels of film and television post production and live broadcast editing environments including the World Series and Super Bowl broadcasts.

Ted Schilowitz is an industry consultant, strategist and recognized expert in the field of broadcast television and feature film, with a specialty in High Definition and Ultra High Resolution video technology - He has presented in the United States, Europe and Asia and consulted worldwide on the technical advances of HD, 4k, and the future of high resolution digital production and post production workflow.

Schilowitz was instrumental in bringing online the first HDTV capable advertising agency in the United States.  He was the Head of HDTV Development for 2netFX, developers of technology to allow HDTV deployment over IP networks, and CEO of HDTV Solutions, a consulting firm specializing in HD implementation, strategy and workflow.

Before moving fully into the technology side of production and post production, Schilowitz was CEO of Creative Juices motion picture production.  As an award winning Director and Producer, Schilowitz has created projects for Nickelodeon, Fox, NBC, The Food Network, The Discovery Channel, E! Entertainment, and PBS. Schilowitz sits on the advisory board for the Digital Cinema Society, and is on the board of directors of The Spark Factory, a broadcast television production company, and G-technology Inc., a hardware technology company.  Schilowitz has been featured in Wired, Digital Television Magazine, Videography, Film and Video, DV magazine, TV Technology,  EMedia Magazine, Studio Daily, Millimeter, American Cinematographer, MacWorld, and Post magazine.
